Default Ideas for Custom Fabricating a New Civic Door Handle Bezel?

Hey all,
Has anyone here tried custom fabricating a replacement for the interior door handle bezel on a Civic? Mine’s cracked and OEM replacements are either overpriced or hard to find for my model.

I’m considering going the custom plastic fabrication route—maybe 3D printing a new one or laser cutting a trim piece to fit cleanly. Just wondering if anyone’s tackled something like this before or has tips on materials that hold up well over time.

Appreciate any advice or inspiration pics if you’ve done something similar!

What's the stock part cost?

Take that price and apply it to your time. Can you learn 3D scanning and then scan the part, learn CAD, design the part, get a part printed and delivered and then go through a couple of versions before it's satisfactory for that amount of time?

Unless you already have the tools and the skills you will be ahead to just pay whatever Honda is asking or find one in a wrecking yard.
