Hello everyone, I'm painting my front calipers soon due to the fact that they have some surface rust and I want to clean them up and make it look better, my eg's paint color is Tahitian Green Pearl (TGP), one of the best colors for an EG imo, but I'm having trouble on deciding what color to paint the calipers, I love the color of my car but any colors besides black, grey/silver and possibly white seem like they would look weird with the TGP. I'm leaning towards a darker silver at the moment, I would like to paint them the same color as the car but cant find any high temp spray paint that color and I feel like if the colors off by more than a shade or two it'll look weird. What are your guys color suggestions or suggestions on a high temp paint that looks very similar to TGP.

White was gonna be my suggestion. I think it looks awesome. Silver would be a good second choice. I personally think painting the calipers the same color as the car would be a bit tacky. Contrasting colors looks much better imo.

As far as paint goes, I just did mine on my 240 recently and I used Duplicolor high temp engine enamel spray paint. Can get at NAPA, O'Reilly's, etc. Came out awesome. And for clear coat I used SprayMax 2k clear. You could probably use a cheaper 1k clear if you paint any color except for white. I had to redo one of my calipers because I used 1k clear and found out that it yellow'd the white as it dried. So if you go white, use 2k clear.

 

Agree with white, or silver. White would be a real PITA to keep clean..

 

What colour accents are you using? I prefer keeping things cohesive. I myself have a Clover Green EM1 with gold wheels and gold brakes.

Have a look at colour theory if you're not sure.
