Working on a b18b rebuilding the motor was turbo pushing 300-350hp now going back to stock after rod thrown. So my question is after rebuilding the standard rings are measuring out too big
top ring 0.19”
middle 0.21” or little more I forgot
that’s to big of gap isn’t it? because stock b18 is .08 to .14 my question is if i can run it with a bigger gap obviously knowing I might get blow by but I’m selling the car after I fix it will it be too bad to sell? And do I just measure the piston and cylinder wall to check oversized and if oversized I’m sure I’ll have to get new rings based on the amount bored? Those measurements are how the rings came no filing since there bigger gaps i don’t know if I’m doing something wrong I got a couple pictures. The piston has 0.8 on it could that mean oversized piston?
