Default 2003 CRV EX Auto 268k driving issues

Okay so I'm starting to get some really cringing pebbles in a can sound from Top End load and third and 4th gear, coasting with giving little acceralation it does the crinkling noise. Like the noise you get when you put a Cai on a vehicle with faulty mispositioned map sensor, you know what I'm saying? Like either it's running rich and has detonation noises or exhaust valves or something. Yes both my O2 sensors are faulty but back when this thing didn't have any in it it never did this. I think I need to do a valve adjustment. I'm at 268k, at first I had the wrong sensors on the transmission swapped because two are almost exactly the same except one has a bigger hole then the other in the sensor. So I mixed the two up and I had a blinking d light for some time, figured that out. And swapped injectors found out I put a different color one in there so I got all matching ones now and got new spark plugs and now I have this noise and it cringeworthy. I need help figuring it out. There's no way it's just from the O2 sensors I would think? Maybe idk. But I did do the bypass a long long time ago and I do not even think my VTEC is kicking in anymore and it could be in some sort of limp mode it doesn't cut out or cut off throttle but it doesn't give me the power that I know is there and I I'm not seeing the VTech kick in anymore either. So any ideas people? Reply

mine does the same at 230k. Only at highway speed. I cant figure out if its wheels bearing, brake chatter, clutch chatter or valve train, its ticking good at idle and im to lazy to set it lol.
when was last time you did trans fluid. Pretty sure mines original 😆 just got it 10k miles ago.
had to change the rear end fluid to stop binding.

see that's just it it had never been done either so I thought I would do a drain and fill and obviously not do a flush just a d & f , I never had any sort of ticking before this no engine noises just the transmission whine but my transmission shifted great and smooth. And she was a ripper. Now.. this rich running improper fuel crap.
