Default Very bad mistake

I was putting back together my 99 ex b16 swap after some head work first time ever rebuilding a motor.
i filled my raiditator with fluid kept filling it and let the bleed valve open. But still my coolant wasn’t getting hot I got distracted by a limp mode condition and I think I over heated my engine it idles terrible. Checked cylinders they look fine on a scope. Will check again tomorrow.

engine b16 multi layer steel head gasket arp head studs upgraded eBay pistons

am I going to have to replace my bottom end what dose my mistake entail

Most likely its from the limp mode, check the injectors, re set the ecu and or calibration if you have hondata or something, I dont think you damaged the engine, check all the basics like timing etc.

I have a Hondata ecu but It didn’t stop the engine I started up this morning it started but couldn’t accelerate at all and sat idling at under 500 rpm’s
I am at the point where I just want to sell the car for parts

Check tdc in case u jumped a tooth.
do compression test
Check plugs for fouling, limp mode usually runs rich.

Did u plane the head/block during rebuild?
