Default 1997 Honda prelude

So I have a 1997 Honda Prelude & I blew my engine last April I found another H22A it has compression & spark but now it won’t start and everything is connected correctly. I currently have a type SH ECU in my prelude. Would I need to install the original ECU for it to start since it’s a new motor and the ECU doesn’t recognize it??

you could send your ecu to these guys, they will disable the immobilizer.

If the engine blew, just replace the engine, no need to use the incorrect ECU in your vehicle. Use your original ECU with the replacement engine.
