Default 04 engine just revs up and down at startup..

Guys, just did a head gasket replacement and at first fire up engine just bounces from 1000 to 3000 rpms. I pulled the codes and there are none. Car ran fine before I pulled the head off. Of course, every thing was un plugged and replugged. New water pump and timing belt was done. Have checked all the connections, cam sensor, crank sensor , all of them. Could it be like the idle air control valve messed up during the swap? Done checked for vacuum leaks , any thing left off or mislanded. Any ideas as to what I might have missed. thanks....

Massive operator error on hand, a total failure to follow the procedure. I had tucked the vacuum line from the air box plentuim to power brake booster back under the firewall and failed to see it at first installation. Massive vacuum leak to the engine and that's why it revved up and down and threw no codes. Now she runs as smooth as a Honda should. Pay attention to the small details, it got me on this one......
