Default Electrical issue

When I press on the brake pedal in my 90 crx, the dash lights come on. What would cause this and how can I fix it?

There likely is a short (e.g., exposed wire touching another exposed wire) for the different circuits (brake lights vs dash lights). I don't see a common connector in the different circuits; so, you'll probably have to start visually checking along the Green/White (wire with green colored insulation and a white stripe running through it). The Green/White power wire starts at the brake switch and try to follow along different parts of the dash wiring.

Thank you! I'll look into that.
