Default 97 Manual y8 head vs 00 auto y8 head

I recently got a cracked head on my 2000 automatic civic , I’m trying to replace it but I’m wondering if I can get “different kind” i find y8 heads on marketplace but there manual and one in looking at is a 97. Would it be a plug and play or what all would I have to do to put the manual 97 head on my 00 auto block?

If you intend to use the intake manifold from your 2000 Y8 engine, you MUST use a 1999 or 2000 Y8 cylinder head. I am not recommending this path, but you could use the older '96-98 cylinder head as long as you also use the matching (same year) intake manifold. This will require some minor hose manipulation and you will no longer pass emissions if this is required annually in your area... so take that as you will.
