Default B20 metal shavings magnetic oil drain plug

Ive done 2 oil changes on my civic ever since i got it b20 swapped actually sounds pretty healthy no knocking nothing like that. I bought the car not running needed ecu who know how longs it was sitting but i did oil change right away and there was some shavings but not much and everything looked clean so i just finished it up. Next oil change about 3000 miles the plug looks like alot more with shavings and more concerning. Im going to take the pan off and see whats in there but would this be bearings? Oil pump? Or is this normal with a magnetic drain plug? The filter was clean honestly when i opened it up. If the pan and bearing are good i will finish the oil change and see how the next one is. I run 10w-30 and car runs great. Unknown mileage but definitely high
my oil wasn’t really glittery metal shavings either looks clean used oil.

Bearings aren't magnetic... so the shavings that are stuck to the drain plug are from something else... something steel. Camshafts, rocker arms, oil pump gears, crankshaft, or connecting rods could all be a culprit. Pull the pan and post what you find there.

Yikes! That doesn’t look good. Without knowing who did the build, or how it was done, I don’t think there’s any way to know what the shavings are from. It could simply be messy work done where the builder didn’t clean everything out properly. You could collect a sample and send it off to Blackstone Laboratories, to get an analysis of what the material is in the oil, and they’ll tell you what likely it came from. Blackstone is a great option, for checking the health of your engine. They also do transmissions.
