Can someone please explain to me why this bolt is hanging out & not pushed all the way in? I have a small oil leak that i cant seem to find where its coming from and i believe this is it. This pic came from the left Side of my engine bay 2014 Honda accord Sport

 

can you zoom out? is this in the valve cover gasket?

 

it's not in. It's on the left side of the vavle cover gasket on the outside

 

Its normal. Its like that so it can be accessed.

The oil leak is likely from the solenoid that bolt is holding in place(VTC solenoid)

 

OK awesome! There is a big mess around that same area so it has to be that! I thought there was a problem with the oil pan bc i see the oil dripping from there. I just ordered the VTC Solenoid nd getting it fixed Monday
