So i need your help before i take my next step. I am from Georgia, the country, not the state. I live in Germany tho and i bought here a Ford van which i am going to ship to my homecountry. The cargospace is empty so i had this idea.

I always loved Civics but when it is my turn to have money, good ones are Reeeeaally hard to find. I mean in Georgia. We also have this new law, which says that we can only import cars newer than 2013 or older than 40 years. Which you know.... sucks. I found a clean EG Hatch (i will add Photos down below) which has 400k km but has no rust at all on the body. It is a 1.3 liter tho. I could buy a EU(I am currently in germany) Spec rusted del sol esi(i will add photos in the thread aswell), with the d16z6 engine and cut it, put it in my van and ship it to georgia.

I would have Del-Sol chasis parts and everything else that is on a car, but just in pieces.

I was thinking, if i could swap the whole suspension from the del sol, to the civic, the front and the rear aswell. I read, that they are the same but some people said they are not. After that i would have 262mm brakes in front and discs in the rear. I would have nicer seats. I know that this question has been asked a lot but i really want to make sure before i buy something.

If that would work out i could get myself a short shifter, solid shift linkage bushings, strut bars and rear arms (i do not know how they are called, theses colorful brace under like every civic)

I know that i will need an integra handbrake cable for the conversion. Am i missing something? Is it really this easy to swap over everything? is it just bolt ons?

I can get parts for any 1.4 ek civic there but i like the eg more. I think the gaskets are the same and also some parts in the suspension if something breaks.

isnt the gearbox from the d16z6 del sol better than the eg one? It has shorter gears right? which is cooler.
