Miiiiice
I’ve got a ’98 Civic coupe that I’ve been slowly fixing up and storing in my garage. Lately I’ve noticed signs of mice—some chewed insulation near the firewall and droppings on the floor mats. Nothing catastrophic yet, but I’ve read enough horror stories to want to get ahead of it.
I’ve used traps and peppermint oil, but they keep coming back. A friend of mine mentioned put me onto this barrier system, but wanted to see if anyone else has used it before I put down the cash ... I've got two kids and a dog running around, so really looking to avoid poisons.
Any help would be appreciated—trying to keep this thing clean while it’s still a work in progress.

Moth ***** seem to work too, but it seems like anything smell-based they eventually get used to and come back. What else might be in the garage/car that's luring them back to it? Is there a food source in there, or is it the only shelter in a really open area? Cleaned a ton of droppings out of my detached garage when I bought the house 9 years ago, installed some sonic deterrent box Ihad laying around, and don't keep food sources around out there... haven't seen any evidence of mice since then even though I know they run along the fence tops out of my neighbor's yards in the summer.
Best to avoid poison as you mention. Not just for your dogs and kids, it poisons the entire food chain. Owl eats a sick mouse because it's an easy target, something eats the sick owl for the same reason, and so on...

Yeah, that's been my general experience with the oils and sprays — they seem to work until they don't. And I'd say I've got my garage in fairly tip-top shape, but it's backed up against a wooded area. Feel like that's obviously the source of the problem, but don't know how to fend that off without moving ...

These worked for me. But I don't usually have mouse problems, so they may have just found greener pastures and never came back.
