Default Resurrecting my pair of 1990 CRX(s)

I've made a video overview of what I'm working with:

I have one DX model CRX needing minor body work and new paint and one De-sunroofed Y-49 Si ready to be wrapped with a custom livery which needs to still be designed.
The goal is to "refresh" the JDM Spec B16A drivetrain and put it in the Si chassis - Then swap in a D16 VTEC Del Sol Si drivetrain into the Torino Red DX.

Looks like its going to be some fun builds here! I look forward to seeing the progress. Both cars look like they are in great shape.

Thank you! Yes, both cars are physically sound and have very minimal rust. The rust that is on Torino Red Pearl is not nearly as bad as it looks and the metal surrounding those areas is solid. Overall both cars give me great confidence.

For the Torino Red Pearl DX, I need to organize for the D16Y8 drivetrain along with AC! The AC compressor (from 95 Del Sol) is still attached to the engine. The factory AC lines are still through the firewall so I would love to put it back into the car. I hopefully have everything from my old Tahitian Green as far as lines, condenser , ect, to transfer over.

I also have the rear discs/trailing and/suspension from Tahitian Green to transfer to Torino Red Pearl. This is huge because I wasn't sure where I had put these and feared I no longer had them. This takes care of the broken wheel stud on the rear drum hub and also better suits the car for 130hp. I have 3 out of 4 of my old progress competition II coilovers so I'll need to keep digging through stuff to find the forth front shock.

Every single interior piece is accounted for. I have converted the center console radio bezel piece to an Si which features an illuminated ring around the cigarette lighter. I also have an Si glove box which is soft felt lined, compared to the DX glove box being hard plastic inside. The softer glove box interior doesn't allow for any buzzes or noise should coins or a screw find it's way in there. I will keep the radio and two front speakers in Torino Red Pearl but I've omitted and "de-speakered" the rear. The rear speaker covers have the black "block off" tape over their openings as well. I believe they were only optioned for DX or HF models that came with no radio.

For the Black Si, I need to install brake calipers in the front and it's pretty much ready for the B16A drivetrain. I need to refresh and clean up that engine as well as put a new head gasket on it. I also have an authentic Spoon Sports flywheel that I was considering throwing on.

I'll need to buy an SiR Style - USDM fit front hood and a nice aluminum radiator, too. I'll need an exhaust for both cars. I love the HKS dual tip exhaust but not sure I need the exact same for both cars. Not opposed to it though.

I am still very excited about both cars. To be honest, staying motivated and feeling confident about finishing these cars has been the hardest thing about them.

!
