Default 94 Accord OBD1 to OBD2 conversion

I unfortunately had my motor blow, and I drove a long ways to get a motor to fix it. Unfortunately, the seller did not have the promised motor (he had OBD2 not OBD1). As I understand, it shouldn’t be a problem for me to buy a 96 accord ECU and rewire a few things?

currently in my car:
- F22B1 VTEC
- P2A5 trans (pretty sure? It’s out of a 93 accord) M/T

I just bought an F22B motor and it has “3217212” engraved into the housing as well.
i also purchased a 37820-P0H-L02 ECU, since from what I understand that’s what I need to get.

thank you all!

You convert the engine to OBD1, not the car to OBD2. Converting the car to OBD2 would require extensive work.

That works too. I believe I need to then put on the old distributor and possibly the fuel injectors. My only concern is the oil pump. My crankshaft split and caused main bearing to go in the oil, I’m concerned to put that same oil pump on.

would an autozone oil pump suffice or do you recommend OEM?

You don't need to swap oil pumps. Swap distributor, engine harness, fuel injectors, and alternator off your old engine and you will be good to go.
