Rough idle on d16y8
Guys I need help I have a d16y8 engine obd2 and I have a y7 manifold on it for the time being but I accidentally ran coolant through intake itself and ish flooded the pistons, now I have got most of it out and I drained oil and added new oil. Now from there I crank it and it idle high for a couple seconds and then once it gets below 1000 rpms it rough idles , I did a valve adjustment on it also thinking that could fix the problem but as of now I have no clue as to how to continue with this
Do a compression test on all four cylinders. Fluid in the intake can "hydro lock" the engine... this usually really damages things internally, however, in some rare cases, all you do is bend a connecting rod slightly. Doing so will drop the piston from the deck of the block at TDC, and thus, make lower compression. It may be enough that the cylinder no longer fires.
