Default 92 Accord issues

I just bought this 1992 Honda Accord. The catalytic converter is missing so it runs really loud getting that replaced now. Well I drove it four hours without any issues obviously I didn’t drive as fast because of the missing converter, but I’ve noticed that the transmission in the RPMs like to go up really high while I’m accelerating, like when i go to 60mph it jumps rpm’s and seems like its slipping. The D4 light blinks. When i tried jumping the tcm it wouldn’t show me any codes except one blink. It almost seems like the transmission is slipping. All the parts are original. I was gonna swap out the TCM and the solenoids to see if that fixes the problem, any idea what else it could be? I own an acura legend and it doesn’t have any of these problems.

If the D4 light is blinking you have stored/active TCU codes. Pull the codes and it may point you in a direction. It sounds to me like the transmission may have internal damage though.
