I have a Ej1 the old owner did some sketchy stuff I had to step in the clutch multiple times till the check engine light blinked 3 times and than the car would be ready to start. But now it’s not working anymore as much times as I step in the clutch check engine light won’t blink does this mean the car has some sort of kill switch with a sequence?

 

It is likely that your ECU is failing. Replacing the power capacitors is the first step.
