93 civic lx trans in a 2000 civic dx

93 civic lx trans in a 2000 civic dx
I have a 2000 Honda civic Dx with a bad transmission (automatic) and I was given a transmission from a 93 civic LX. My question is will the transmission from the 93 work in the 2000 they look the same with minor difference just not sure if it'll work
