Transmission (automatic) issues 94 dx
I just bought a 94 dx with the 4 cyl I have a blinking d4 light but no check engine light when I put the car in reverse it catches just fine and backs up right away move it to neutral and it continues to reverse same with d4 and d3(although sometimes it catches if you give it a few seconds) 2nd catches most of the time and 1st catches almost every time
when taking off you have to gradually gas it or it just revs and doesn’t take off(I’m not sure if this is limp mode or what considering it barely moves from 0) I’m not sure if it’s the tcu, torque converter, shift solenoids, or just the transmission
the transmission also has clean fluid and doesn’t leak if anyone has experience with this problem or any info that would help it would be highly appreciated

because I shorted the little connector to see if their were any codes but I didn’t get any codes
i also tested solenoids and they were good
Yes. Using the 2 pin connector underneath the glove box. If the D4 light is blinking you have active or stored TCU codes, try again. You have to count the blinks when you jump the connector. Long blink = 10, short blink = 1.
Whe turning ignition to II(ON) does the CEL lamp illuminate?
If that bulb is burnt out or removed then you will not be able to retrieve codes.
Not all transmission related codes will show through the D4 lamp.
