Default First time engine swapping (B18b1)

Hello, I have a 1998 Honda civic ex manual coupe. I also just bought a 1996 Acura integra ls.
i want to put the b18b1 from my integra into my civic. I am having a bit of confusion with the wiring. Which harness should I use, integra or civic? Is it all plug in play or will I need to modify some wires? Also, which shift linkage should I use? And will I need to modify it at all?

any information would be helpful

thanks
Trey

Use the Civic EX manual engine harness. Use the Integra shift linkage. The ECU should plug right into the engine harness. All will be "plug-n-play" except the CKF plug down next to the alternator... three wire plug on the Civic engine harness and a two wire plug on the Integra engine harness. You will de-pin all three wires from the Civic plug, tape back the brown wire to the harness, and re-pin the two remaining wires into the Integra plug (same color wires as the Integra engine harness). The fuel injector plugs are slightly further apart on the B18B than the D16Y8, but you should be able to clip them on with a bit of finesse'. Distributor will plug directly in. The ECT and single temp gauge wire under the distributor may be in slightly different places and you may, at worst, have to lengthen those three wires. The IAT sensor can either be left in your intake tube or lengthen the wire and convert the plug to the round style found on the Integra engine harness. MAP, TPS, and IACV will plug in. I believe the Knock sensor will plug in... and the oil pressure switch will plug right in as well. You will obviously leave the VTEC solenoid and pressure switch plugs dangling free since you do not have VTEC.

Awesome thank you so much! Will the integra exhaust header work? And do I need to buy all new engine mounts or do some transfer over from the integra? Like the T bracket

If you are trying to use stock mounts... the driver and passenger side, as well as the rear, mounts will work. You will need the rear "T" bracket and left side engine bracket from a '99-00 Civic Si. You will also need the front torque mount brackets from the Integra. I believe the stock Integra exhaust manifold will bolt up to the cat and cat-back... if you have an aftermarket header, all bets are off because there is no way to know for sure that the rear flange is in the OE location.

What should I do if I want to keep A/C and power steering?
