I was hoping someone could help me out and assist me in figuring out some problems I have been having with my 2002 Honda CR-V. I bought the car used for 2k and it came with a limping faulty i-vtec solenoid, no driveshaft, a recently replaced transmission and radiator. The truck did great otherwise driving on limp mode (no i-vtec). The car wont go past 70mph and depending on the conditions I can only give it about 30% throttle otherwise it hits a brick wall. I drove the truck and eventually replaced the solenoid from autozone and it fixed the issue.



While working in Tennessee at the Ford plant as a Union Millwright my engine decided to loss something in the block internally, so I made a choice and bought a JDM K24A (for the CR=V) from Tennessee jdm motors. I swapped the motor; shortblock by hoisting the motor through the top and then back in. The only difference with the Factory US(great britain) motor and the JDM engine is that the i-vtec solenoid lacked a harness connecting port on the JDM motor. So the Us spec solenoid has 2 connectors on it which my harness has 2 connectors that plug into it and the jdm motor has only 1 connector which 1 of my plugs does plug into. The old issue from earlier was back, this time on the jdm solenoid. I left the other connnector unplugged and drove it anyway. I eventually swapped on another new i-vtec solenoid for the jdm solenoid and plugged both connectors back into the new part. This time the problem was not fixed.



Can someone please help me out in advising me what I should try next.
