I found a set of coilovers on marketplace, and they are for a 99 civic. I have a 89 civic with crappy struts and lowering springs. Would the EK coilovers work on my EF? There is a lot of conflicting information out there so I'm looking for someone who has tried it...

They might fit but the length of the shocks may not work, and they wouldn't fit the EF shock forks.

You can use EG coilovers if you swap EG shock forks over. This opens you up to more options.

 

Also depends upon the coilovers as some aftermarket ones especially those for lowering, used the smaller shock diameter at their mounting end, with a spacer ring for use uoon the later EG-EK.
