Im no mechanic but im trying my best to solve this problem on my own but anyway I have a 93 civic hatchback dx with a d16y8 in it. The other day it wouldn’t start it would crank over perfect but no spark. So anyway I open the distributor and it looks rough so I put in a new igniter, coil, and rotor, then put on a new distributor cap, still no start. So we check all the fuses all the fuses are good. We see there was a wire going to the ecu that was kinda low on volts, so I swap out the ecu with a different one, still nothing. I’m just not sure where to go from here. I’ve unplugged and plugged back in all the electrical outlets, took off and cleaned all the grounds. I’m just at a huge loss and don’t know where to go from here. Maybe just buy a whole new distributor? I don’t know, has anyone had a problem like this and had some weird thing causing it to not spark? And suggestions or recommendations are greatly appreciated. This is my daily and she runs so smooth. I wanna get her back on the road asap.

 

Put the original igniter back in it. if still nothing try a diff coil. if still nothing look at the main relay and check for any wire damage
