My engine went out in my 2000 Honda Civic LX and I’ve been going between the K20a2 and the K24a for a swap. Originally chose the K20a2 but all the engines I’m running into are K20a3s and it’s hard to find an a2 for cheaper. I can get a JDM k24a with low mileage for around $1k whereas most of the a2s I see are all with included with transmission and the ones that aren’t are like $2k. I don’t know which trans pairs well with the k24a so I would much appreciate a finger in the right direction. Really just trying to see which one would be more compatible or easier to do with my civic (including installing new ECU). I’m not too too knowledgeable about Honda engines so if I’m naive please forgive me.
