Hey guys/gals

I was wondering if any of your accords do the samething my accord does. I have had my accord for a little over a year now. I have notices this raspy humming noise,ones in a while right after i start the engine, and never before i start the car. it humms for maybe 2 seconds then goes away. it seems to come from all around me when im sitting in the driver sit. I cant pin point the origon of the humm, if it's coming from the front of the car , or the rear of the car. The noise does not seem to affect my car in anyway. but like a itch i just have to scratch it. I have posted this in another forum, and they have told me it's my fuel pump priming up. but i have thought this one out, why would the fuel pump prime up after the car starts does not make sense. they have also seid it maybe a bad exhuse pipe but wouldint that set me up for a air leak and my "cel" lite come on, but it has not done that . I'm really not to worried about the noise because it does not seem to affect the car in anyaway.I just want to know if this is commen in the 5th gen accords. thanks for your input.

yeah, it's called the fuel pump, it should do it, it's normal

 

its the fuel pump. if you just turn your key to on, not actually starting the car you will hear it.

 

If its an EX it could be the abs pump

abs pump is more of a Buzz i think, like a loud annoying BUZZZZ every now and then, but a humming sound i got no clue? only hum i ever got was when i didnt tighten the intake filter tight enough, so it was like you blowing air into the side of a straw that annoying humming sound..
