Issues with starting
Hello everyone,
This is my first time posting on this forum. I recently did an engine swap on my 94 civic. Reason being that my ecu gave out last year in the spring. It was a P06, I wasn't able to get the same ecu and bought a P72 or P28. There was a knocking sound that wasn't there before, not sure if it was because of the ecu or from my many attempts to start the car. Overall the car started fine with the new ecu, there was just that knock. I decided to get it another engine, a D15b7 non vtec. That was the same one that was in there before. Did my swap and now the car doesn't want to start.
Vehicle has fuel, spark, air, and compression. Brought it new spark plugs and coils. Still no start. I checked the grounds, timing on the engine, and replaced the distributor thinking it was that. I did try adjusting the distributor. Still no start. The car did backfire in one of my starting attempts. Below, I will attach a video from one of the start attempts.
I am all out of ideas on what it could be. Starting to think the issue might be that ecu but like I said, the vehicle started and drive with that same engine before. any ideas?
