I want to leave Allstate.
I drive my 2001 ITR about 150 miles a year and keep it in a detached garage. It's got 78,000(ish) miles on it.
What is a good way to insure my car, so I can still drive it?

I would look at Grundy. I got a quote from both Grundy and Hagerty on my ITR and Gundy was about 1/4 the price ($198 per year). I ultimately had to go with Hagerty because Grundy makes you have one vehicle per licensed driver per household and since I have a company truck, they would not insure me (like I was going to daily my ITR).

Thank you.
Did Hagerty ask you for a "value"?
I tried American Collectors Ins and they wanted a value, so I pulled a number out of the air and used $45,000. They wanted $200/mo.

You declare your value to Hagerty, and they will approve/partially approve/decline pending the situation. It should not be an issue on a known car like an ITR at this point unless youre asking something astronomical. Rate is going to vary based on the age/safety of the vehicle, your age and driving histor, and declared value. I would recommend asking your local car buddies if they have a preferred insurance agent/agency as that will make a difference how easy the process is. Ive got Hagerty on my 92 civic for $46k and pay $1100 for the year.
i also use hagerty, asked my broker to shop around and he said they are the best deal,
very fair. got an ad for progressive in the mail that said we can insure you for as low as $89/month lol.
i pay less than that for all 4 cars lmao (legal minimum coverage).
