Default Intake on 94 civic coupe swapped with D16Y8

Hello!

I recently bought a 1994 Honda civic coupe, with a swapped D16Y8 and the airbox had a hole in it. I ordered a new intake but I’m not sure if I got the right one. I got the DC sports 92-95, part number SRI5516. I realized after I ordered it, that the engine was from the 96-00 models.
My question is since there is an intake air temp sensor, would I need an intake that would allow the sensor to be used, or could I use the one I bought?

Thanks!

edit: I figured it out. Sorry for posting

You bought the correct intake kit... since your IAT sensor is mounted in the intake manifold, you do NOT need a hole (and rubber grommet) in the intake pipe to install the IAT sensor.

@JRCivic1 where does the iat sensor go on the y8 manifold?

This is a picture of my engine bay! On my intake I see there is a sensor and this is why I’m wondering if I ordered the wrong part?

I would need an intake that has a hole(and rubber grommet) that would allow me to install the IAT sensor, correct? Or would I be able to use the one I already purchased?

I appreciate the help!

Chrisfrom1986, I apologize... apparently I didn't read the OP's original post close enough. The Y8 Intake manifold does NOT have a provision for the IAT sensor to be bolted on, therefore, you WILL need to drill a hole into your AEM intake tube (and source an appropriately sized grommet) and convert the OE IAT plug into a '96-00 style plug. You will also need a '96-00 IAT sensor obviously.

You COULD purchase the '96-00 DC Sports Intake and the hole and grommet would come with it... but you still need a sensor and will have to modify the wiring on the engine harness to make it work.
