On the quest to make my car less chump, I’m going to paint my valve cover because the current paint is flaking off something fierce. My reason for posting is I’m wondering what color to go with. Do I paint it the factory semi-gloss black, Honda red, or something else? I’m personally leaning towards black.

Here’s the valve cover under the hood, this is an old photo so there’s way more paint still and the ac line hasn’t been fixed yet.

Here’s the car in question. Yes the hood is the wrong color and the wheels are not the best looking, but it’s mine. Just for reference as to what color the valve color should be.
