EP3 5 speed, refuses to go into 4th gear, even when the car is off and clutch is in. I was trying to pass someone on the highway that brake checked me and it refused to go into 4th. I didn't hear a grind or anything it just didn't go into 4th. After that 3rd was a little crunchy but it smoothed out eventually and I haven't had an issue with 3rd but no 4th at all, doesn't even try or even half-engage. Maybe a synchro issue? Or would it be worth it to just go to a 6 speed instead of rebuilding the 5 speed? TIA

The problem is likely a damaged 3/4 slider. It is NOT a synchro.
