1990 Acura Legend 2.7 c27a1 vs a c27a4 swap
Hey everyone! I'm honestly wondering what the difference is between the c27a1 that came in my legend coupe, and the c27a4 that came in the later accord ex v6 cars. Is there any difference other than the intake manifold. Like did they use different materials like cast iron or aluminum? are any internals already forged from the factory? Did either use a timing belt or chain? Witch engine is stronger as in can handle more power? And how is the reliability of both engines? Witch one would you guys prefer to have as a daily drivable car that can be driven to the track for some autocross and maybe some drag racing and then be driven back home?
The reason why I'm asking is because my legend has a cracked block! And i dont know mutch about these motors honestly. This car was my dream car throughout my whole childhood but by the time I was old enough to drive and really did research on cars there were so many other cars on my mind that i kinda forgot all about the legend. Until my friends friend had one for sale for 300$ with a blown motor. I want to know if I should buy a used c27a1 like the one that's in the car and build it that motor? Or should I buy the slightly newer c27a4 with the transmission, ecu, and harness etc. Out of a 95-97 honda accord ex v6 and swap all that in and then build that motor. I'm probably not going to do any forced induction, atleast I don't think I am unless I'm not happy with the power when I'm finished! If that's the case I want to try to Eaton supercharge if possible. But anyways Witch would you guys choose and what's the best mods you guys would choose to do on the chosen motor?
