1995 Honda Civic DX issue
My stock 95 DX hatchback every once and a while will fire up and die immediately. Most the time it starts and runs just fine. I replaced the fuel pump not long ago, what else could be the issue.

Check youlr fuel pressure and your fuel pressure regulator (all sorts of tutorials out there)

I replaced the fuel pressure regulator and the civic still will fire up once and awhile and instantly die unless I give it gas. Anyone know what else might be my problem.

1st make sure you are getting fuel pressure when it is being grumpy. Loosen the top banjo fitting on the fuel filte, and see if gas spits out.
2 check/clean your iac
3 check the fast idle valve under the intake.
