I just put an order on a set of Focuz 2700 series fog lights . I was wondering if the fogs are not bright enough can I replace the bulb with something more powerful (for example : PIAA, Raybrig, Catz,APC, etc)? What kind of bulb do they take? H-3's?
I don't know about that fog lights, but I would guess it's a 55w H3 bulb like most. In general, fog light wiring are not as well built as headlights, so I would not over watt with a higher watt bulb. I do not believe the bulbs as PIAA are "brighter" than what came with the kit (no matter what they advertise). It only look different, like Superwhite. So I would not waste $$$ on it unless you want to make it look cool.
But let me understand this. If you run your headlights, plus high beam, plus fog lights, and it's still not bright enough?
