Default 2003 Honda accord ex coupe 3.0l transmission replacement

I am just trying to get a basic idea of whether I should rebuild my transmission on my 2003 accord ex coupe 3.0 l or if I should look into getting a used one from a near by auto dismantler location?

Also, if anyone knows of any other vehicles that may have compatible transmissions with this vehicle I would greatly appreciate it. My transmission has a label that says BAYA-5153506 3RAYAA2, if that helps make any difference.

Issues with vehicle: My accord seems to be unsure of how to go from 2nd gear into 3rd gear when accelerating--when accelerating once it attempts to go from 2nd into 3rd gear it just revs the RPMs (as if it was in neutral), and I have to let off the gas. Sometimes if I continue to push gas pedal and release repeatedly it will still rev a couple times then eventually it will smoothly shift into 3rd gear. after 3rd gear it has no problem shifting gears. the thing i found strange is that i thought usually when a vehicle is slipping in between gears like that, the transmission will usually shift hard (or slam) into the next gear. but mine seems to smoothly shift after revving a couple times. I dont have much experience with transmissions so any information or insight into this issue would be very helpful.

I hope I made enough sense in my post as it was hard to describe in detail the issues im having with my vehicle.

thanks in advance.
