Hello guys been watching the forums for a while but finally made an account. So my 2005 Honda civic VP auto transmission went out last week. Car has 240k miles. Everything was great until one night it shifted hard and the engine revved up before shifting late. The next morning the car did the same thing until it wouldn't go into any gear or move at all. I noticed after the car cools down it will shift fine again up until warmed up. Other forums said internal filter is clogged. Others said replace transmission what do y'all think? Here is the factory sticker with the vin number. It says country of origin for engine is USA and transmission is Japan. Can y'all please help with what transmission I need and any advice on doing the swap like tips or parts that I may not think of would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking of pulling the engine and trans together from the top as there is an oil leak that I need to address so I figure I'll fix that and service the engine while it's out. New torque converter needed as well right? Or used I should say. Thankyou very much guys.
