engine rough running after warm start
2.2L manual
When starting from cold, engine runs fine, including when its up to normal temperature. The problems happen if you then park up, and re-start the engine, say 20 minutes later, (for example).
If you rev the engine very gentle, you can build the revs up ok, if you are heavier on the throttle it coughs and splutters.
When in this situation yesterday, I tried to pull from a junction, it spluttered and cut out. Then wouldn't re-start at all. Turned over ok, and you could hear it 'trying' to fire.
In the end, the only solution was to leave it for about an hour, so that it had gone cold enough to be able to get it to re-start.
It's had new plugs and leads, plug colour was normal.
Any ideas?
I've not replaced the fuel filter, but surely the problem would also be there from cold if the filter was blocked.
