Wiring Help
I just bought a bone stock 91 ED6 Hatch a couple of days ago. Soon to be my first older project car, and hopefully a daily for a while.
Anyway to the meat of the issue, this car being almost 34 years old a lot of the wiring is damaged/missing/what have you. Does anyone know where I can find a wiring schematic for these old Hondas? I would like to rewire the entire thing from headlights to tail lights, I know you can buy full (tuck-away) harnesses for the engine but I haven't found anything either on this forum or elsewhere about the body harnesses. I have found part numbers for some of them but every website that "sells" them says discontinued. Another reason why I want to rewire it is because I know as soon as I go to unplug these connectors they're going to brake. The plastic on these connectors is beyond old.
I'm a diesel mechanic by trade so I understand what rewiring something entails and that's also why I want to do it on this car.
Also the gauge cluster my current car has does not have a tach. I've seen some of the auto trans sedan model gauge clusters that have a tach and the plugs on the back look to be the same. Can I just plug in one of those?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
