What’s up guys I just got my jdm integra from japan and am having issues with the driver side headlight. It flickered on then off and now won’t turn on. I read online that the ballast may have went out so I swapped the ballast with the passenger side and still wouldn’t turn on. I swapped the good passenger side ballast onto the driver side bulb and it worked so I’m sure the ballast went bad. I gutted the oem driver side ballast and installed a aftermarket ballast and it worked. I went to on a drive the next day and it worked for a bit then turned off and wouldn’t turn on. I supplied power and ground to the connector and still would not turn on I supplied power the fog lights and daytime running lights and they worked. I also found this black box wired into the harness behind the driver headlight that’s says ipf usd style. I read this box is for daytime running lights. Could this have burned the harness? Any other suggestions on what to check before I replace the ballast again? I don’t want to put another one in for it to burn. I have attached pics of the box

 

You need to get rid of booth ballast and that drl box unless you live in Canada or another place thats drl is required.You can use acura tsx or tl ballast since they are oem and last much longer than after hid ballast.

 

I actually just had this same problem. I ended up ditching the HID and oem ballast all together and went to a D2S LED bulb.
