I recently had skunk2 coilovers installed in my front and rear suspension on my 96 ex civic a couple months ago. Ever since then, there has a been a clunking/ knocking noise when I go over bumps in the rear. I just checked today and saw that the top part of the coilover in the rear looks very different from the front ones.
Front: Front Coilover
Rear:
Now, I had these installed at a shop and had the car lowered one inch as well. I personally don’t know a ton when it comes to suspension so I’m not sure if the rear ones are messed up or not. Any advice? I should mention I brought them used as well.
The rear does not look right, the bushing should be off like that from the top hat. Was this a "skunk2" coilover sleeve using stock tophats over stock shocks or one of their full bodied coilovers?
The top bushings should be red for front and rear. and looks like the rear may have been taken apart and put back together wrong. There should be a lower washer and lower bushing under the top hat.
