Default 92 EG Suspension Build: Front Knuckle Upgrade?

Hey, I've a b18c1 swapped 92 Eg - Its got Skunk 2 pro 2 s coilovers, Skunk2 pro camber kit and just installed Skunk2 LCA's, also doing new poly bushings all around - Thinking I should upgrade the knuckle - the part connecting the hub to the upper control arm since all the other parts are upgraded and new bushings adding more stain. Can anyone advise on an upgrade for this please?

Hello!

Having Recently done the same mods on my 95, and having researched EXTENSIVELY. I feel confident saying that unfortunately, there are absolutely no aftermarket options for our model years, in regards to upgraded knuckles.

Unless you have access to a machine shop, and deep pockets, your best bet is to disassemble the OE knuckles, and send them to a powder coating shop. That was the route I landed on given there were literally no other options within reason available.

Beyond that, upgrade the bearings, hubs and ball joints while it's disassembled, and that's the best option that is available.

Here's a photo of my knuckles after powder coating for reference. If you can disassemble them yourself, or get a shop to do it quickly for free, the prep, and powder coating should land around $200 USD total for both knuckles.

After powder coating, before bearings, hubs, and ball joints were installed.

But... if you want to upgrade to 260 or 280mm disc rotors with Honda brake calipers you'll be wanting 3rd gen Integra or B16a CRX/DelSol knuckles which relocated the calipers to suit... As fitted to EG Si-R. (casting SR-R(or L)14N as opposed to std. SR-R(or L)13N)
Original Civic, or slightly bigger & heavier Integra calipers for 260mm, Early CRV for 280mm. (Even bigger & heavier Type-R spec).
The bigger calipers requiring larger master cylinder & different proportioning valve.

Upper Spec EK knuckles had similar revisions & do fit but are slightly shorter which would change cars roll-centre. (casting SO-R(or L)14N as opposed to std. SO-R(or L)13N)
May have been changed already with the engine swap since there's talk of different outboard driveshaft spline diameter.. Though those splines didn't seem to differ on my '95 D15 EG4 hatch.

Thanks guys - appreciate it. Great timing @79cord was just going to ask @Kaidis what he did about brakes - looking at my options now as badly need to do them. Been looking at Fastbrakes kit with Willwood calipers - they come with an adaptor for 11" rotors, anyone got experience with these? Far as I can tell the knuckles seem to be the original ones.

Waste of money. You can get 11.8" from oem parts.

Like using OEM calipers? Are you talking about installing teg brakes? Saw a few post about that but figured the Wildwood calipers would be better

Integra brakes are only 10.3". You'd be limited to 11.1" with a 4x100 hub. If you want new or are trying to look cool I suppose.

Depends what you're doing with the car. Stock integra are fine for most. 11.1" fits under most 15" wheels. Blank rotor with a good pad and good tires is all you need.
