so i just bought a 98 ek hatch and it has no headliner, and it has a sunroof, i looked in on it and apparently they didn’t come from the factory like that, so my question is how would i go about getting a headliner in? get a headliner out of an ek and cut it? or would another model with a sunroof fit the ek?

 

They do come with sunroofs. My part of the world anyway.

 

You need to do some measuring. Not sure if a 96-00 Civic coupe is the same roof

 

All Honda Civic VI EJ/EK (1996-2000) hatchback/coupe/sedan LHD has the same sunroof.

 

I would start by comparing the size and location of the sun roof to a coupe or sedan. I have seen a few aftermarket sun roof installs on Civics and Accords that work well enough but are not the same size or location as the factory one.

Assuming this is a USDM car (check the VIN), the HB was only available in CX or DX trim for that generation which didn't have a sun roof.

So safe bet is it's an aftermarket conversion - possible but less likely to be a non-USDM import with factory sun roof.
