so im trying to figure out some ways to get rid of this rust for a friendly price. ive only been able to find quarter panels at 1k each side and thats a bit out of my price range. i dont currently own a welder, anyone got any ideas on how to get rid of the rust and it look decent. thanks
If you live near the border of B.C Canada and willing to meet up, I have a set of oem fit replacement quater panels for your car that are brand new you can have for free.
I had got them as a last resort which would have been terrible to deal with and look like crap when I restored my crx since they are for the civic hb but I was lucky enough to find 2 donor crx's with rust free panels that I cut out and welded in place on mine.
Something other than cutting and welding, you could chip away as much as possible and treat with a rust inhibitor, something like Rust Mort works well and then go over with a good quality filler.

Sadly i dont anymore (bought the car in alberta ca) im in nc. I thought about removing all the rust and using fiberglass to reform the quarter panel, the one side is fairly bad underneath so idk if thatll be the greatest idea. Know a good site to order panels from? im getting a welder at the begining of the year after i finish the welding class at my job and get certified.
