I have a question regarding the sound emitted from my b18c engine at high rev. This sound is only when accelerating in gear. If I free gear and put acceleration again, it doesn't make any noise like that.



I asked a mechanic, he said the noise was due to straight cut gear because I changed gear 5 teeth and final drive to 4.64 OS Giken. Another mod is high compression piston, aftermarket valve springs and titanium retainers, skunk2 tuner 3 cam, cam gear. And walbro fuel pump with 250cc denso injector (maybe if that can made some points)





But I tried to find the sound of the gear in some forums and youtube, it sounds different from that sound.

Maybe the sound is not very clear in the video, but actually it is clear when in car. I don’t think this is final gear whine noise, or maybe you guys have same noises like this?maybe it is whine noises from final gear?
