bro idk. The ecu works fine, the car is running fine too. But what i wanted to know is that if i can simply change the chip (to a sst) and make some extra connections to connect it to my laptop?. Thing is that i watch a video where a guy chipped a p06 too and he does diffrent connections compared to my ecu so idk 😅

Since the ECU is already socketed, you can upgrade to a piggyback system like Hondata or Neptune RTP.

You asked if the ECU was chipped but you weren't sure... my response assured you that the ECU is in fact chipped. You CANNOT burn a chip while it is installed into the socket of the ECU. With the proper devices and software, you can create calibrations on your laptop and then burn them to a reprogrammable chip like an SST 29C256, but the only way to do it live is to use a device like a Hondata S300 or Neptune Demon.

Remember that the "socketing" is different... the socket is female for a chip; the socket is male pins for a Hondata S300 or Neptune Demon board. Converting from a "chipped" ECU to a Hondata S300 ECU will require some board modifications.

I looked for some vids and the cheapest and easiest way for me is to use a sst chip and a devmo ft232rl. will that work too?

No worries. I have posted erroneous information a time or two myself... we are both human... with good intentions.
