Got a new throttle body for my 96 DX hatch. Everything fits perfectly except the cable it doesn’t wrap around the spring mechanism its too short. What cable can I get or is there a way to get an extension

Throttle before was from an EX but new one just has a different spring mechanic all I need is a different cable and should work

The throttle cable should wrap UNDER the throttle body... it will not open the way you currently have the cable mounted. The throttle body is incorrect for the intake manifold that you have. IF you had a proper throttle body, the '96-98 EX throttle cable would fit properly.

 

The intake manifold is from an ex 96-00. The owner before me had this setup, so its confusing for me
