Default 99 Civic intermittent crank/no start

Hello folks,

So I'm kind of lost on this one, need some help.

EU 99 civic 1.4 iS
D14Z2 engine
OBD2b
Stock, no mods.
No recent work done when issue started.

Car worked completely fine without any issues, then one day, out of the blue, crank no start.

Most of the time, the car cranks but does not start. Seems to happen mostly in high humidity/rain (which is very common here this time of the year)

It simply cranks cleanly, no sputter.

When the car does start, it does so flawlessly, and has no problems when running. The only thing I notice is the smell of gas stronger than normal.

Car has been to the mechanic twice already.

First they put in a new Distributor, came back fine. Issue reappeared after about a week.

Second time they put in new timing belt and water pump, and (they were due for a change anyway), and a CKF. Car came back fine, issue reappeared after about a week.

No CEL, and test lights on key position (II) seem normal (CEL and immobilizer lights up for 2s, and then turn off).

Mechanic tested compression (haven't got a gauge), says it's within spec.

I can hear the fuel pump prime every time. I can also hear the relay (main relay?) above the ECU (behind glove box) click.

Tested Injectors with a multimeter, and resistance looks within spec for all of them.

With key on(II) injectors are also getting 12v.

Pulled main relay PCB out, solder joints looked good. Did not attempt to resolder.

I cleaned all grounds I could find (valve cover, thermostat housing, and one behind the left headlight) no change.

I Removed the ECU and found connector A had quite a bit of corrosion and the Pink wire (immobilizer according to diagram) had broken off.
This was from a previous spill, found no signs of outside water intrusion.

ECU PCB looks fine and clean of damage or corrosion, caps are not bulged or leaky.

Yesterday I cleaned the connector pin by pin and re-crimped the Pink wire.

Car ran started and ran flawlessly that same day (smelled quite a bit of gas though), issue came back the day after (coincidentally or not, it started raining).

I'm at a loss at this point. I'm guessing spark is getting drained to somewhere, but I can't find where.

Any ideas?

Update: Weather got drier and relative humidity went down, and it started up. Idled fine for 30min.

Sprayed some water around the dizzy cap area and it instantly died. Tried a few more times, 100% reproduction rate.

Can't find any cracks but it's definitely loosing spark to ground somewhere. Gonna try at night and check for visible arcing.
