I have an 87 LXI hatch and lately the seatbelt/door beeps when I start it up and when I pull on the seatbelt, there is no engagement. Even when I restart the car and it doesn't beep or have a door light I can still pull the seatbelt without any pullback.

What's the fix for this? I read it might need new door latches but I'm not sure.
