ACL race oil pump
Hello guys , I have a some questions and I am kind of in a stalemate at the moment.
I bought a b16a2 swap for my ej9 (European model with a d14a4 stock engine)
So my mechanic did the swap and all was well and after I finished almost 5k km (breaking in period as per the manual says).
And the car overheated and basically the engine was done for. the head gasket just quit. (We did not rebuild the engine) It was rebuild badly by the previous guy. (The guy I bought it from).
Everything basically is new from water pumps to whatever small detail we could find but we did not mess with the engine.
Now its time for a rebuild. And because my machinist is a friend of mine we had saved from a previous build. forged pistons and rods (cp pistons)
now the c:r will be 11:1 , stock cams , stock size exhaust (45mm) , stock intake , the only thing that will change for now will be the c:r , in the future we might do some extra stuff.
Will have a custom made gasket made with fire rings and the head will be equipped with beryllium valve seats (exh only). acl bearings , rings for the forged pistons and so forth.
He told me to get the acl race oil pump which I did. He will do all the clearing. in order for everything to work properly and be highly reliable because its going to be used as a daily.
We will check the oil pump and such , its the only component it is making me nervous to be honest.
Has anyone got experience with that oil pump? We might be able to get an OEM one (if we find one) but money will go down the drain (which at the moment , isn't something that I could necessarily do).
I might be able to return the pump but again not sure.
How can we check it from your guys experience and if someone has used it for a long time and had any issues with it.
I know that OEM would be the best but this is the situation that I am currently in.
So basically I am looking for proper reviews on the ACL pump (it is the OPHD1194HP)
Thank you in advance.

I'm running this on track doing time attack and no problems:
I've actually used those amazon pumps 3 different times, 3 different pumps, 3 motors, on track-use motors and still no issues.
Unless you get a DOA pump, it's proabably going to be fine.
