Default P1336 & p1337 98 Civic d16y7

So I had an error code pop up, p1336 crankshaft position sensor intermittent signal, so we swapped out the sensor behind the main crankshaft pulley and took it for a test drive. Now it has a p1337 crankshaft sensor no signal. Replaced distributor because I read somewhere one of the sensors for the ckp is in the distributor, but it didn't do anything for the code. Old wires on the old sensor were chewed thru and then taped up (not by me) and the crankshaft pulley has been replaced (not by me). I bought the car about 4 months ago w/ new exhaust, new water pump, new timing belt, cold air intake. This is my only car and trying to learn how to work on it myself and just running into walls. Has anyone else been through this?
